Nymphaea 'Colonel A.J. Welch'
This cultivar is a hardy variety with a rare viviparous habit of frequently developing new plants with rhizomes directly from the old blossom head. This plant does well in cooler climates and somewhat deeper water. Flowers are a pretty lemon yellow, though they are produced infrequently, making this lily one for the collector.
Hybridized by Marliac, unknown year. Not free flowering.
