Thermo Cube
This device is a thermostatically controled outlet adaptor that makes any pond de-icer operate more efficiently, reducing energy use and expenses! It automatically turns on or off based on surrounding air temperature. Specifically it turns on at 35 F (2 C) and turns off at 45 F (7 C). This means that de-icers, which operate thermostatically based on water or internal temperature, will shut off sooner on milder winter days. Plug the Thermo Cube into any standard 120v AC, GFCI protected outlet, and it will thermostatically turn on or off any device plugged into it. Use the Thermo Cube to save electricity and wear and tear on other devices such as heat tape, heat lamps, stock tank de-icers, and engine block heaters. It may be used as a "freeze warning device" by connecting to a lamp visible from outside. The Thermo Cube illuminates the lamp if the furnace or heater fails and the temperature falls in the house, cabin, or greenhouse.
