Thermo-Pond De-Icer
The Thermo Pond is the world's most efficient pond de-icer! It is designed to maintain a ten-inch hole in the ice in temperatures as low as -20°F! By maintaining a hole in the ice, you are allowing the carbon dioxide and other toxic gases to escape the pond and letting oxygen in. The Thermo Pond is thermostatically controlled based on the water temperature, and it will only operate at water temperatures of 35°F and below (the thermostat shuts off the unit when the water temperature reaches 45°F). Use with the Thermo Cube for more energy efficienct, cost savings operation!While this deicer was tested at -30°F with a 24" ice cover, we recommend its use in zones 5 and warmer. For zones 4 and cooler, we recommend the Ice Chaser
