Hydrocleys nymphoides
Floating-leaf bog plant that is extremely easy to grow and spreads readily to provide "quick surface coverage" when needed. Pretty, petite (2" diameter) yellow flowers are produced constantly all season after they begin. If pruned (pinched back) regularly it is suitable for container ponds.
Native to Central and South America.
Habit/ Height: Floating leaf, spread to 6 feet unrestrained.
Water depth: 4-12" over the soil.
Light: Full to partial sun.
Bloom: Summer.
Flower color: Creamy yellow.
Hardiness: Zones 9-11.
Recommended container size: 3.5 qt or larger
