pH Up 16 oz
The ideal pH range in a garden pond is between 6.8 and 8.0. Acid rain, mineral leechage, soil runoff and decomposing plant and fish waste can cause unacceptable pH levels to occur.
IMPORTANT - pH UP works by slowly neutralizing some of the acidic substances that cause low pH in pond water. It is important to test pH when using this product and increase pH no more than 0.5 units every 24 hours. Do not treat more than once every 24 hours.
Plants and algae cause a temporary increase in pH in the afternoon, therefore pH should be tested in the morning to obtain the most accurate reading.
Directions:
1. Test pH.
2. Add 1 tsp. pH UP for each 50 gallons of pond water. (Mix desired dosage with 2 gallons of pond water and distribute evenly around the perimeter of the pond.)
3. Wait 24 hours and retest pH. Repeat as necessary.
