Margaret Thomas Koogle, President of Lilypons, is the fourth generation of her family to oversee the business. Margaret approaches everyday as an exciting opportunity to help our customers achieve their dreams of having a water garden. Her genuine enthusiasm and vast knowledge of the subject calms nervous beginners and excites long time pond owners who may call or email frequently to discuss their concerns or share their pond experiences. Margaret's number one priority at Lilypons is customer satisfaction and her dedication to this fact is well known by our many happy returning customers. When away from her desk, she loves traveling, baseball, and spending time with friends and family, especially her daughters Caroline and Annemarie.
Suzanne Boom is our Operations Manager. She can often be found in one of our production ponds and takes great pride in maintaining and expanding our selection on waterlilies, lotus and bog plants. Suzanne is a marine biologist and wildlife artist from the Netherlands, she's been with Lilypons since 2010. In their time off, she and her husband enjoy a variety of hobbies, including traveling, saltwater aquariums and kayaking. Suzanne serves on the board of the International Waterlily and Watergardening Society.
Our sales manager, Lindsey started working with us in 2020. In addition to working in sales and customer service at Lilypons, Lindsey is also a huge help in the production and order fulfillment departments. She has worked in the landscape industry off and on for 15 years. Her hobbies include hiking, fishing, kayaking, anything artistic (ie needle felting, knitting, painting, origami, sketching, digital art, photography), and she also loves collecting bones.
Bob Lawrence is part of our friendly sales staff and has been working at Lilypons since 2011. We knew Bob long before he came to work with us as he was the postmaster (now retired) of our local post office and a regular customer. He enjoyed his own pond so much that upon his retirement, he re-entered the workforce, and has become a valuable source of knowledge for our customers. Outside of Lilypons, Bob enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
John is in his second season with us! As production assistant John can often be found knee deep in a pond selected the finest lilies and bog plants for our customers. In his spare time enjoys film photography, vintage video games and landscaping.
Richie White is our warehouse coordinator/ shipper and has been working at Lilypons since 2008. Richie is committed to getting every detail correct which is why Lilypons has an almost perfect shipping history and such a reliable inventory report. He is also responsible for assembling many of our privately labeled products which he takes great pride in. Richie enjoys camping, spending time with family, and supporting his favorite sports team, The Washington Redskins.
Darlene assists her son Richie with the packing and shipping of all our plants and dry goods, as well as many other tasks around the warehouse. Darlene has worked at Lilypons off and on for many years.
Bobby has been with Lilypons since 2014. He is instrumental in the maintenance of the facilities and the grounds. From rebuilding pond banks to replacing the roof on the fish facility, Bobby does it all.
Richard M. Koogle has been an invaluable leader since 1979. He had worn many hats at the company over the years and currently Richard's primary focus is pond installation, consultation, and speaking; areas in which he is able to utilize his vast knowledge of ponds and artistic talent to help people achieve their dreams of a backyard oasis. Richard is also instrumental in maintaining our nearly 100 year old facilities and acreage. He and his wife Victoria have five children, three grandchildren, two dogs, and a cat. Richard enjoys coaching his children's sports teams and when he has time, loves to canoe, fish, and play in the outdoors.
Cody owns Cody's Hauling and has worked as a Lilypons contractor off and on since 2015. He has the knowledge and expertise to have your pond looking its absolute best! In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family .
Dave owns GreeneryScrapes and he and his brother Steve work for Lilypons as a contractors since 2015. They have many years of experience and you can count on them to make your pond look its best. Dave is also a substitute teacher with FCC and the Vocational training center in Frederick, MD.
